Why does the performance of sprinklers decrease when a GARDENA Water Computer/Water Timer is installed at the tap?
When using the water computer, a certain reduction in pressure cannot be avoided due to the solenoid valve. If performance is significantly reduced compared to when not using a water computer, we suspect that the sprinkler(s) is/are being operated at its/their limits. Possible causes may also be low pressure from the water supply, long hoses or a small hose cross-section.
It is possible to minimise losses through friction within the layout of the hose by using 19 mm (3/4") hoses as well as the hose couplings from the GARDENA "Profi" Maxi-Flow System (large water flow, specifically for 3/4" hoses).
