What do I need to consider with regard to watering systems when it comes to frost?

Here we make a distinction between water controls, the sprinkler system, pipeline and Micro-Drip-System.   Water controls: - Unscrew water computers and water timers and store them in a frost-proof place. Remove battery - Irrigation valves: Remove control parts, store in a frost-proof place, remove battery - Irrigation valves: Unscrew irrigation valve and store it in a frost-proof place. Seal openings during the frost season. - Radio receiver: Remove batteries; radio receiver can remain outdoors - Remove the supply hose with connections from the tap to the connecting point, store it in a frost-proof place - Disassemble the soil moisture sensor and rain sensors, remove the battery, store in a frost-proof place. Wire is frost-proof - Remove automatic water distributor incl. hoses and couplings and store in a frost-proof place Sprinkler system: - If installed above ground: unscrew the lowest-lying sprinkler(s) and run the pipe ends empty, then screw the sprinklers back on - If installed below ground: a drain valve must be fitted at the lowest-lying point in each line of one or more sprinklers. On slopes, a drain valve must be fitted in each line every 2 metres of gain in elevation - Switch the control and shut-off valves to continuity - Remove the supply hose with connections from the tap to the connecting point, store in a frost-proof place   Pipeline: - If you notice it sinking with no opportunity to drain: empty using compressed air (max. 6 bar) - Install a drain valve at the lowest points. - Switch the control and shut-off valves to continuity Micro-Drip-System: - Always remove master units and store in a frost-proof place (close open ends of the pipe during the frost season) - Set shut-off valves to continuity - Drain water from the end of the pipe (without master unit).
