If you use water from a well/cistern with a pump, we generally recommend the use of a filter, e.g. our pump pre-filter Art. 1730, which you can also use on the pressure side when using a submersible pressure pump. If the water is too contaminated or contains sand, you should operate the submersible pressure pump in an area where no contaminated water or water containing sand can be sucked in. when using a garden pump or home and garden automatic pump, the filter is installed on the suction side.
